boxytocin moves through echoes of expressions often perceived as opposites, confusing and infusing them with each other. Creating space for something trapped-in-a-container, pureed, diffused-in-air-and-caught-by-our-receptors, maybe-familiar, suddenly-utterly-clear.
It is attempting to navigate within affective systems that are working on us whether we want it or not. Finding ways to deconstruct and deform images associated with interpersonal expressions and playing with what is recognized and what not. Stalling in-between to see what else can happen and looking for the ‘new’ in the difference of the actual representations.
